They’re called real estate investment trusts, or REITs. And they can prove to be profitable long-term investments.
According to Investopedia:
REITs allow individual investors to buy shares in commercial real estate portfolios that receive income from a variety of properties.
Properties included in a REIT portfolio may include apartment complexes, data centers, health care facilities, hotels, infrastructure—in the form of fiber cables, cell towers, and energy pipelines—office buildings, retail centers, self-storage, timberland, and warehouses.
REITs are great investments when applied to the right sector because they are:
- Limited in risk — you can’t lose more than you invest.
There are three next-generation sectors I focused on in my Total Wealth Symposium presentation, and I revealed my researched DisruptEstate investment picks for each.
The first REIT pick is one I originally recommended in June.
Since that recommendation, the REIT has more than doubled the performance of the Nasdaq Composite Index, Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 Index over the same time period.
Its current open gain is nearly 17%.
The REIT is called Americold Realty Trust (NYSE: COLD).
COLD is set to be heavily influenced by the online grocery market, which is making waves in real estate for companies seeking warehouses for cold storage.
